Ontario Health Team — Noojmawing Sookatagaing Collaborative Branding Honouring Indigenous Artistry
The Challenge: Ontario Health Team needed a visual identity that honored Indigenous perspectives while meeting healthcare system requirements—all while incorporating original artwork by Janice Toulouse.
Our Approach: We worked directly with the council, members, and artist Janice Toulouse to develop a logo that preserved her artistic style while functioning across applications. The process required vectorizing her detailed artwork, simplifying the palette, and ensuring her vision remained central to every decision.
The Result: A distinctive brand that honors the Robinson-Superior and Treaty 9 territories while representing the collaborative spirit of "Healing Working Together" (Noojmawing Sookatagaing).
